I survived school in the 60’s and early 70’s. Disicipline was paramount. I survived. Nothing woke or far left in those days. Glad to grow up in that era. It’s gone now and never to be the same. Congratulations and good luck. You will need it. Piece of advice; Stick to you principals and be proud to live with the results.

Good luck. It is sad that parents do not respect the authority of teachers and administrators. I saw someone suggest that teachers wear body cams!

There is a great documentary on HBO MAX called vice principals with Danny McBride. You should definitely check that out. Has some incredible insights that could help put your new career on the fast track.

Positive even when you don’t want to and to be involved as much as you can in the extra curriculums. In my little bit of experience with MS football coaching, Ive seen the associated high school principal (even with kids) making it to ALOT of sporting and academic events. The kids know he’s there to support them, and in turn, they respect him and behave accordingly.
The thing I’ve learned besides the above is that the boys certainly respond to positive energy with attentiveness and hard work. If they see you giving your best, they tend to do the same. Seems to work with kids from all walks.

Oh, I see, my kid's principle has a #### problem that he flaunts via his icon on t-net. Before it was just his teacher who spent hours a day with him... Gee we should not be surprised when charges come down this guy. Can anyone say glaringly poor judgement? just sayin.

I retired as a Principal after 20 years in that position 3 years as a VP and 12 years teaching and coaching! Super ride I would do it again!!!
