I’m not feeling as good about that deal now. Don’t get me wrong how stupid to offer a kid 13M when he may never do a ###### thing but still . . .

while the NIL deal was with "The Gator Collective" which is effectively a private fan club set-up to provide student-athletes with incentives/inducements/compensation (e.g., money) for their name, image, and likeness.

If the Gator Collective breached the contract, let the attorneys fight it out in court, but if I'm the University of Florida, I'm not releasing him from his LOI. If he wants to transfer anyway, so be it, but he'll be red shirting or sitting out a year before being eligible to play.

If the university put him touch with the collective or used the collective to get him to sign, they are getting sued along with the collective.

If the coaches mentioned the NIL from the collective during the recruiting process they are getting sued, too.

Who the F signs a contract offering that much money without having the funding in place?

It's amateur hour out there.

thing is handled b/c other recruits are watching. No doubt this contract debacle is really gonna hurt them!

It's not about UF boosters reneging on the deal.

Papa now wants them to pay their agent's commission as well.

Agreement that isn't in print, signed by both parties, with a specific date is unenforceable. Therefore, you and your business partner never actually even had a "deal". Speaking as a grandmother, I'd call that a dream.
