Sounds like Louisville fans all fell in love with the hype

Oct 6, 2016, 1:00 PM

which is understandable since there really hasn't been this much buzz, at least legitimate buzz, surrounding the Cards program for quite some time.

Expectations reached a pinnacle after a convincing win against what now appears to be a floundering FSU team. The fans all embraced the expectations and started believing that they could just show-up and the ACC championship would be theirs for the taking. They assumed that based on all of the media hype, it must be true.

What they failed to consider is that the games are actually played on the field and not in the headlines and it was on that field where Louisville ran into a better team.

You can blame it on the officiating, you can blame it on Boulware's WWE impersonation, or you can blame it on any number of other conspiracy theories if that makes you feel better.

At the end of the day, Clemson won the game on the field because the team made the plays and Louisville didn't, and now Clemson is in the drivers seat to win another ACC Championship and is in control of its own destiny for a second consecutive appearance in the college football playoffs while Louisville....well...isn't, and it's really just that simple.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

In all truthfulness....

they should be thanking their lucky stars that Ray Ray temporarily developed bricks for hands because we go down and score on that drive, it's 35-10 and we would have left the Vaseline on the bedside table.

Eliminate just two of the turnovers....

and Clemson likely wins that game by three TD's.

And, Quick knew where that 4th down marker was and just couldn't reach it..

Due to faster Clemson DB Edmonds! Boom!

If he didn't, that's on him and his coach...

not the guy holding the "unofficial" first down marker.

yeah, Dabo was in rare form. He was going for the K I L L!!!!! That was evident to me at the end of the 1st half when we were up 21-10 but he kept the pedal to the metal and we scored to go up 28-10. IMO Dabo was wanting to embarrass Lewisville and stomp a mud hole in their you know what. If he could have hung 75 points on them he would have let it happen. The only thing that saved the fighting petrino's is turnovers.

All they need is Washington to lose once and for them to win out as long as we win out. If we were to lose the Big 10 could get Ohio State and Michigan in if their game is close.

They are just some really disappointed fans. They had such high hopes going into last weekend. I don't blame them, I would have too.

But enough of the complaining....it is time for them to move on. Sadly, all the continued media hype they are getting just adds salt to the wound because even the great and grand ESPN thinks they have the better team and/or QB.

But, I think Clemson would win if we played them again. The O would improve. The D would not spend quite so much time on the field. Bottom line, the Clemson D and Coach BV had their number.

Sure, they've had plenty of publicity.

That guy who they hired after he wrecked him bike with his ho on the back. Then there was all the flocking of those quality characters which had been excommunicated from the Church of the SEC.
