I'm updating my "legacy" Iphone 7 to IOS 15.

How long before I have terrible battery life, poor performance, dropped calls, and am forced to go buy a new phone?
I think they have a timer form some stuff in there so all that is not immediately noticeable.

at about a year old, so I wouldn't be financing a phone (lulz).
I figured with my work stipend and the free year of service I had for a year from Sprint, it paid for itself in like 7 months, and since then, its been making me money.

I don't really care much either, the XR is still kicking even with a broken screen.

which you can. iPhone 6 and up can use IOS 15. Get a Android and see if you can upgrade 6 to 7 years later. LOL.
Now the next question is should you? IOS 14 will continue to be supported.

Never had cell/wifi modem issues until iOS 14.4-ish or so. Now I have to constantly toggle airplane mode on and off to reset the connection.

WT F Hulu?? I use it on a firestick, about 2' away from my wifi modem. And I have been having to reboot the firestick about once a day to keep hulu from doing whatever it does when it effs up. It gets where I can't even look at "channels" selection to choose another channel--it just skips right by it. Then, it starts randomly buffering for no apparent reason.
Hulu--you have ONE job--aggregate a bunch of TV signals together and make and interface to switch between those signals.

problems OR it may be user error once with a problem like you are saying. Didn't work for a while and she realized she had put it on airplane mode on accident.

Terrible battery life is the culprit.
I think the iPhone 11 is like $500 or $17/month for 30 months.

24 hour report: Battery life

It made it about 7 hours yesterday with no charge. I have no idea how that compares with how it did before because it was rare that I ever left it unplugged long enough to die. I accidentally did it yesterday. It *seems* like it uses more battery now, but that could be wrong.
Updates: It did find some of my email and other app passwords had been compromised, so I changed those. Its got some weird drawing thing now for texts that I haven't used, or may not ever use, but its there. The text window notifications look different, as does the font.
Thats about it so far.
