must see. It's not far from gameday setup on the drill field. Apparently students removed 32 cornerstones(one for each of the dead) from campus bldgs. and built memorial for the fallen. They now have each students name on a stone in a semi-circle memorial with a plaque to honor the deceased. Very moving! pics below. VT has a nice campus with nice mountain views and very friendly students. Recommend barbeque at Top of the Stairs downtown.

I have no doubt this must be a great place/university, and this tragedy was one of the worst in America, a terrible event. As you state, I bet the views are fantastic. Reminds me too of the great views Clemson has, esp. from the stadium out over the foothills and to the mountains beyond.

We're riding up to the Shenandoah valley today b4 coming back to the game tonight. I will post later about how that turns out. The mtn views from Blacksburg have been nice but Shenandoah valley is supposedly better. Go tigers!
