I'm not afraid to play ANYbody, ANYwhere, ANY time.

Yes, we got bullied by 'Bama in 2008. In 2010, however, we went to Allbarn and played a slobberknocker and should have won the game. We took it to FSU in Tally this year and again, had a great chance to win that game. If both of those had been at DV, I believe we would have won. We're not soft as many claim.

We all know about the run of ranked teams we beat in the valley in 2011.

Our D was on the field for 40 minutes vs. Scar this year and gave up 27. That's a long way from being bullied. I don't blame that loss on being soft at all. I blame it on my hero, Chad Morris. His game plan was confounding.

Yeah, LSU is a stout team. They have issues on offense, however. With a good game plan, I can see us winning that game. At the very least, I know we can line up against them and put ourselves in a position to win.

player during pre-game warm-ups at the C-F-A Bowl on New Year's Day 2004. I'd love to see the team come out with that kind of nasty attitude this time.

Yeah. Thanks. Serves to show we're even further removed from those days when we actually might have been too soft.

Let's bolt from the ACC, go independent and schedule the top 12 for next year

Can you play defense?

Dec 4, 2012, 7:46 AM

If so, get in the game.

VT says hi. Similar offenses. I predict similar results.

We'll see.

Ah, I missed your point at first. Now the light has come on. At 56, I don't think I'd be much help. ;)

Yes, Chad was going by his mantra - "We play to our standards not the opponents." Well, it had worked all year, however if he had studied films, he may have noticed that you run at fast edge rushers, not try to keep qb in pocket. You use play/action pass, which Boyd ONCE successfully. I am sure Chad changes his mantra to adapt to each opponents' defense and use more ball control with occasional long pass for endzone. GO TIGERS ADAPT AND BE SUCCESSFUL! BEAT LSU!

I agree, this is an opportunity to change the attitude that has stuck with Clemson over the years. It is time to fight until the last second, go toe to toe with any team with No Fear. Last year Orange Bowl, the Tigers gave up, quit and were ready to go home. Come Ready or Do Not Come at ALL.

The OB was a matter of mental toughness, not physical. It was setting up to be a classic track meet until the crazy series of events that had the team feeling snakebit at halftime. It was disappointing to see the quit in them, but the point is, we were physically up to the challenge. I'd like to think we're mentally tougher now. The fact that we didn't have a late-season collapse would suggest so.

Another good analysis - when Ellington had ball taken off his back at goalline and returned for td,l think I saw the "wilt" in Tigers.
I expect for Chad to fix the offense, which makes the d better already - GO TIGERS BEAT LSU (good prep. for LSU is a good prep for uga and usuc next year!)
