I'm honestly not sure why so many are dismissing Winston.

The guy has played some great football so far. He seems like a guy who is not going to be easily rattled just because he's playing in this environment. You've still gotta tackle him. You've still gotta keep hitting him and play great defense.
Obviously the environment is going to help us, but I just don't think it's going to effect Winston more than it would Connor Shaw, Chase Rettig, Aaron Murray, or whoever else.
I could be wrong, but I just think Winston is mature player for a RS Freshman and that we will have our hands full Saturday night. Should be an excellent game.

Saturday night. Or he might lay an egg. Either way, he will face an environment and a defense unlike any he has seen thus far in his career. That much is certain.

Maybe I'm just missing them. I think more so the idea is that we hope the atmosphere and the defense will be a bit more than the RS Freshman is ready for. Maybe it will be and maybe it won't be, but for sure it will be louder than anything he's heard and for sure it will be the toughest, most aggressive defense he's faced.
We lead the NATION in sacks, we lead the NATION in Tackles for Loss and we lead the NATION in third down defense. That is flat-out awesome. Add 80,000 screaming fans for four quarters and it will certainly be a new challenge for the man (good though he is).

The environment could shake him up a bit, since he has not experienced anything like it. I think our D will shake him up more. I'm hoping for a combination of both.

Not hardly. He is way better runner and passer. Containing him will be impossible. There will be many chunk plays for big yardage. They really think beating us will be easy as they have to much fire power. NOT ME, I THINK WE WILL WHIP THOSE CRIMINOLS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is that the three guys you mentioned are all experienced seniors and Conner Shaw hasn't played a full game in Death Valley. Also, he is the only one on that list that hasn't lost in Death Valley either.

you all are correct. He has not HAD to score points every drive, because the defenses he has faced were not that great. How many 3 and outs have they had? He hasn't had relentless pressure in his face. Hell look how great McCarron looked against VaTech. They were in his face ALL Night and if VaTech had an offense Alabama would have been upset. This team can score on offense and have shown that they can stop some of the hardest teams in UGA when they were full strength mind you a lot of FSU fans bring this up since they lost against Mizzou but they dont recall Gurley playing Marshall playing and all of their WR's minus the one kid that got hurt on the Gurley TD run. We forced UGA 7 3 and outs that game. Their offense is more scarier than FSU's. Mind you FSU has better WR's but NO WAY in hell can they say their running backs are better than Gurley and Marshall. NO WAY.. Freeman and Watkins are NO Gurley and Marshall. Yes they are big backs but they dont have the i can go all the way on one run and out run your whole defense like those two can. That Thompson kid they had last year was that threat to take it all the way but he's no longer playing. I think we can shut down the passing game with pressure from our DL. which is the same strong point the Seminoles had last year with Tank and Bjorn Werner. Timmy Jernigan will require attention but we will go spread on them and see how deep their roster really goes.
