The attic really needed it. I don't think insulation has been added since the place was built in the 70's.

A high school friend of mine took a summer job installing insulation. He came home itching and decided to take a hot shower. Bad move. The hot water opened up his pores and the fiberglass just dug in deeper.

the key is taking a shower quickly after exposure and of course limiting exposure. I wash first without a wash cloth then start over with a washcloth. I wash like I am really muddy or dirty and then wash again like I am really muddy or dirty.

I do turn the temperature down on the water but not cold.
