Name 1 defensive end since the power rangers left that got better than the day they stepped on campus as a freshman? Kj Henry but I think that was more he wasn’t physically ready as a freshman. Hall was not very good at developing players. No one paid it attention though due to the overall defense made up for it plus we had naturally good ends in Murphy and kj. I don’t know but I’m not mad with this decision. Anyways GO TIGERS!!!

Agreed. I have been saying this for at least 3 years. We have ALWAYS had top flight DEs, yet seem squat for production since Cle and Bryant left. That is absolutely NOT acceptable, especially given how dominant the interior of the DL has been. I wish him well, but I think we can expect better.

This doesn’t sound like he was “pruned”. My bet is he already has another job offer, maybe even a D-coordinator job somewhere that is close to being signed. His conversation with Dabo might have included giving Dabo the chance to retain him via promotion or pay increase.

Give Eason the DL, he is a great coach. DE's have been slightly lacking in development. Myles Murphy didnt seem substantially better after 3yrs. Denoff is still struggling. We need some more of those Parkers and that dude with some development with be top 5 draft in 2yrs.

I believe that Coach Hall definitely has a better landing spot for him and his family. No way Dabo would “cut him loose” otherwise!

Maybe Dabo makes NICK EASON DL Coach (DE+DT).
…Just Googled Alabama + UGA: each has 1 Coach for DL (not DE+DT separate).
So if Nick Eason (The Man!) takes over All DL, that frees up one slot for a different dedicated coach, for example a SPECIAL TEAMS coach, rather than double-duty by DB coach Mike Reid.
