I'm giving the edge to DJ. Neither quarterback looks ready though. Good news is it's a long way to September.

My opinion is they are dead even which means I would give the edge to Cade simply because DJ had two years to get to the point he is at.

Difficult to grade either under these protective rules I see good in both. The new kid has a great release. Looks very composed for a rookie. Receiving is the sore spot right now as I see it.

I’ve been most impressed with number zero ... Carter. He’s a real keeper.

Agreed on Carter. I also like how physical Toriano Pride plays. I think he'll see the field a lot this year.

Would love to see if a slimmed down DJ can scramble better than last year. A lot of these so called sacks could’ve possibly been big pick ups if the QBs could take off.

Agree hard to judge them off of this game. Cade is a dual threat so if you take his legs who knows how much that is affecting his game. Also we can’t really tell how much DJ has approved because his legs were a huge problem last year.

Both are playing with walk-ons and a bad offensive line against our Dline.
