Belk.

Happened to be in Richburg (Lewisville hs) ferrying fuel and asked about Belk. Lady said she had spoken to his dad and his moms health is in fact, bad. Said he wanted to be closer to home, I asked if he was going to go play in Columbia and got a yeah.
Small towns I’m from one so I promise everyone here knows his business.
Good luck to the young man

We have now had so much discussion about Belk that all my popup ads on TNet started featuring sundresses and sandals.

Could be...but then why say "I don't know" to a question about entertaining a visit to Tennessee, a school 2 states away if that had the main bearing?? Don't think anyone is questioning the validity of the health issue being present, it's more of it being the real reason to why he left.

It still doesn’t add up. Did he parents’ health suddenly become bad after enrolling? Really? And, if that’s why he’s quitting Clemson, why entertain an offer from Tennessee?
Also, if he is leaving for family health problems, why wouldn’t Dabo say as much in his statement? As family oriented as Dabo is, leaving that out is very telling.
Lastly, it’s strange that he hasn’t expressed that he’ll miss his teammates and his teammates haven’t said a thing on Twitter, although they have for others who’ve announced they’re transferring.
I am NOT one for conspiracy theories, but things just don’t add up. BUT, as for him leaving, I’m perfectly okay with it. He doesnn’t want to be a Clemson Tiger, so I’m glad Dabo is letting him leave. We want guys on the team who want to be there.
On a side note, I personally have experience with leaving school for family health problems. I left Clemson for a semester because of my mother’s health. She ended up dying April 11, 1993, the spring semester of my junior year. I was back at Clemson for the second summer session. I share this to say that I am sympathetic to students who have sick family members, and I DO think getting closer to home, or taking time off, is the best thing to do. I am so glad I had that time with my mother before she died.

It's possible that he's leaving for multiple reasons .

I am sorry (25 years removed) for the loss of your mother and commend you for returning to school so quickly.

Thank you. It was one of the hardest times in my life. Maybe I should have taken longer off, though, because my grades suffered (had trouble concentrating for a long time), but I needed to get out of the house because the grief was consuming me.

To make people believe USC is not a done deal. I'm from a small town too....and everyone does indeed know your business. Hope his mom gets good treatment. I hope he gets to see her often.
I trust Dabo.

The whole point of his hardship request was to go home.

Why would he even be allowed to go to TN or even think of going anywhere further from home.

I’m of the opinion if he wants to go let him. Kids what 18 years old? He’s going to have to sit out a year unless he goes to a Furman or such so whatever.

BINGO. Whatever, he's gone. He didn't want to be here, so he's not out type of player.
