I need brad’s help with my 6 yo son!

It’s been about 3 weeks since we put the new goal in the driveway. He’s used it probably 5 or 6 times. Yesterday, he melted down when his 4 yo brother was loudly announcing “points” as the two of us were shooting. He ran inside crying. Then as he spied on me and his brother continuing to shoot and enjoy, he stuck his head out the door and said he’s never playing basketball again. He joined in two more times, was driven to tears by his brother each time, and promised never to play again. I need brad to get him fired up about the game again.

Here’s what I’m asking, brad. Win on the road against conference co-leader pitt this afternoon to go 5-0 and take sole possession of first place. The boy and I will be watching! 4 p.m. game on Saturday! Thank you tv gods!

Then, beat Louisville at home next week to get to 6-0 for the first time in clemson history? Is that right? As I’ve mentioned on the tnets, we’re going up with two other families for the dook game. 12 of us sitting together. If clemson is 6-0, i’d expect the place to be packed and frenzied at the chance to take down the team formerly coached by rat. It will be my boys’ 1st clemson game of any kind, highest level athletic event they will have attended in their lives. Brad, you can do this! For the kids!

I think if this fairy tale came true, my 6 yo would almost certainly forget his promise to never play basketball again, and if i can get the younger one to ease up on his buttons, maybe he’ll even enjoy it. Heck, brad, you only have to stay at clemson 12 more years and he could be playing for you.

It wouldn’t hurt my feelings either if Brad makes your dream come true.

The boy watched parts of it with me. By the time PJ was rebounding his own miss after being stuffed and then finding chauncey wiggins (?!) for the runner in the lane high off the glass, i was losing my dang mind.

5-0 in the acc in first place? Overcoming late 2nd half deficits to win conference road games? 10 guys playing real minutes, 4 of them freshmen? What is happening?

Can’t believe how big this dook game is looking. Just couldn’t be more excited.

We are probably too far into the season to get the 6 year old into church or Y basketball, but you may want to think about it for next year. He may be more confident with his peers -- and possibly need a little space from the 4 year old. :)

Amen to that

He helped me clean up the kitchen and then went out to shoot alone this morning while i kept the little one inside to pick up his toys. Space is key. How bout them tigers! The brad is on fire!
