Bummer. I hated his FL St teams. But the man is a college football legend.

I like and have much respect for Bobby Bowden. He left a lasting legacy on college football. We can only hope that we also have 92 great years of life.

Appreciate you posting it. Was just reading about it on 247. Sad to hear it. Ever since the covid bug hit him last year, he's progressively gotten worse. Definitely a living legend.

Still one of the best play calls ever made in Death Valley belongs to him in 88. And the 2000 Weinke fake hand-off was brilliant

Never heard a stadium go from absolute bedlam to dead stunned in seconds like that in 88. It'll definitely be highlighted in his documentary. We wouldn't have Dabo without him.

That's when FSU started becoming very average. Before that they were appointment tv. I never had a problem with them beating Clemson because they were great. And the ACC should feel the same way about Clemson now.

One of the best in CFB and was really great at being interviewed. One of our best rivalries when he coached.

I appreciate all the positive comments in this thread. It's easy to look at the coach of a rival and have a negative opinion of him. Being a lifetime FSU fan (attending games in Doak when Bill Peterson was the HC (the Tensi/Biletnikoff era) Bobby has a special place in my heart. And, in spite of some things folks might have said about him through the years, he is a man who not only claimed to be a Christian, he lived life as a Christian. He walked the walk.

End of an era.

So sad! He has always been one of the greats in college football. Enjoyed his early years at FSU when he decided to play night games. He said, he could get more eyes on his teams. At that time, almost all games were played during the day.
