I think he just signed a big contract extension last year so I think they will wait another year or so.

I think you have to beat more than 1 Power Five team in the year to keep your job at LSU and it doesn't look like he will.

Current buyout is about $21M. Sounds like a lot, but if S Carolina can come up with almost that much for Muschamp, I don't think LSU would have a problem.

He uses transfer quarterbacks. Dabo could learn a thing or two from Coach O.

The ONLY reason LSU would fire him is for losing...

Certainly not for anything unethical or immoral.
This is the same school that still employs Will Wade.

year. I think he gone after the season, if he makes it that far.
Of course, if he suddenly turns it around and wins out, with a convincing win over BAMA, He might just pull a Tommy Bowden and get a contract EXTENSION.
Looking at their future schedule, they don't have a guaranteed win the rest of the way. Even La-Monroe beat Bama a few years ago.

Not being a smart A$$, but the only coaching staff that I'm concerned with, is coaching staff of our Clemson Tiger. But I'm also glad that Dabo is the one that has to make those determinations on what coaches are doing a great job, or the ones that's not.
I also hope that if, or when Dabo feels that one of his coaches can't make the necessary changes to keep our FB program at the top, that he will quickly make the necessary changes that will help to keep our FB program at the top bc, it don't take but a season or two of bad FB for top recruits to look else where!!!

I think he will be fired before the season is over. He might make it until the end of the season, but he won't make it to Spring practice.

He has immunity for bringing home a natty for a few years yet I would think. They are not going to buy him out, they need to funnel that money to Transfer portal players and recruits via NIL contracts. The college game going pro is really going to hurt coaching salaries going forward. Coach compensation has officially peaked.

He is another Gene Chizik ..... caught lightning in a bottle with Burrow and that group of receivers. Actually there are a lot of similarities. The year Auburn with Newton, their defense was not anywhere near championship caliber, but as the year went on they started to come together ..... same with LSU.

That 2019 LSU team was a wagon, have no idea what happened to them. Maybe the $$ ran dry

Here’s why O stays
Oct 11, 2021, 7:28 PM
|
|
He speaks LSU’in. His coaching ability was secondary to his hiring. Because O speaks LSU’in, he can communicate with the alum with deeper pockets, which is ultimately why they ran Saban off. No sir, they don’t want a Bear Bryant or Bobby Bowden, they want a guy that can eat hotdogs during an interview and can articulate the sanctity of marriage to hookers. I say he retires from LSU, whether they have a football program or not.
