Commitment works both ways. I know some of y’all will call me a sunshine pumper (again), but I still believe there are good people out there that also believe this and those are the guys Dabo wants anyway. We won’t get every recruit we go after and we never have, but I have hope that there are still enough good ones that fit Clemson’s culture to keep us on top.

I’m sure there are others but it does seem to be the exception among the top programs. The way places like Bama and Ocry0 St over-recruit and then cut in subsequent years, it would be hard for them to lay claim to this type of commitment.

As long as Dabo never gives a recruit a chance to recommit, it's all good, and the FB program is better off without those types of people than it would have been with them. Those types of people are never fully satisfied, and it's bc they are always wanting more than what they agreed to. For whatever their reasoning, they will always feel they are more valuable to the program, than the program will be for them, and they're really not worth the time it takes them to sign the contract that finalizes their agreement!!! That is the case in every situation like this one bc they are never satisfied, and they are always wanting more than they're capable of giving back....

Shaq Smith decommitted and then recommitted on signing day. He discussed wanting to take his visits and Coach Swinney's policy with the coaching staff, both parties decided it would be in his best interest to decommit. He took his visits and came back to the fold but did later transfer out to Maryland after graduating. So, it has happened in the past.

Why?? I’ve heard that multiple times and I like

Bradley on a personal level, but I don’t see it as a loss at all. Just because he has been there a long time doesn’t make him great. The talent level since he has been there has gotten progressively worse and we haven’t developed the talent we have gotten. It’s time to clean house and start all over with zero hold over coaches.

Doesn’t sound like he’s doing a very good job.

Is good recruiting news also. Better to find out you have a flat tire before the trip starts then going down the highway 80 MPH.
I am going to go out on a limb and say Dabo has a plan B for this announcement

In the past when someone proved that their word was garbage, it seemed that Dabo, and his staff always brought someone else in that had better stats at Clemson, than the ones that went somewhere else. I expect it will be the case in this situation also. Bc Dabo locks a committed recruit spot in, it sometimes hurts us bc someone better wants to come, and hopefully this will be the case with Nathaniel Joseph giving his spot up!!!

I could be wrong, certainly wouldn’t be the first time, but

Seems to me the players that have de-committed in the past ended up showing their character, or lack there of, at the program they ended up playing for.
Given the comments in his tweet that the coaching staff did something that he and his family didn’t like I think we can safely say he doesn’t have the type of character we need or want!
If you want to take other visits, just say so! Own it! Don’t act like the coaches did something wrong.
Another example of petulant little children today throwing tantrums when they don’t get their way!

From what I read his family put a lot of pressure on him to go for the big bucks at Miami. Look at the lack of commitment via NIL, transfer portal etc. in sports. When coaches started making BIG bucks it only encouraged players who were making nothing to question it all the more.

Could be but this seems to be more about visiting Louisville

From what we are seeing.
Why anyone would want to go to Louisville over Clemson football is baffling. Basketball yes. Baseball? Recently but not historically and I don’t think long term. We’ll see.
