Rodemaker has consistently looked very good in practice, but horrible in any game he has been in.
Preliminary injury report: Verse out for several weeks at least. (unofficial) Jordan Travis has ankle injury. No report on how bad it is. Best guess is Travis will be back before Clemson, but Verse won't be.
FSU is a long way from being a good team. Our defense still has a LONG way to go. But, when it comes to "culture" no one should doubt that the players play with heart and mental toughness.
Now go hang 50 on LA Tech!

Yeah, that is a well coached team that has bought in to what the coaches are selling, they play to the whistle and don't make alot of bone headed plays.
They are going to be a tough out for everyone they play especially gaining confidence after every win.

Believe me, it is not false humility. When I think FSU is ready to compete with Clemson I will say so.
Last night was a shocker as to how well Rodemaker played. I was listening to live streaming commentary from 3 guys who work at the largest on-line website FSU has (Warchant.com). At half time all three guys were predicting a blowout by Louisville.
1. Our best defensive tackle didn't make the trip due to injury. (Louisville was running the ball right up the gut on us.)
2. Our best DE got rolled up and his knee buckled. He was out. (BTW, those are our two best defensive players, period.)
3. Our starting left tackle got injured and was out for the game.
4. Rodemaker looked lost. No one could explain what he was thinking when he threw that last interception.
After the game, the talk was about how amazingly well Rodemaker played. Totally unexpected. The toughness and grit of the players is undeniable. But, here are my concerns going forward.
1. Louisville and LSU aren't very good.
2. I have no idea how long Travis, Verse, and Scott (the three guys mentioned above) will be out.
3. We have a placekicker who has the yips. He missed 2 chippies last night. With every miss he seems to get worse.
4. The verdict is still out on our defense. Louisville got almost 600 yards against us. Defense made some great plays in the 4th quarter to seal the win. But, we are not a good defense.
WE should get by BC next week. Then we play Wake, NCSU and Clemson back to back to back. We will be 7+ point underdogs in all three of those games.
We are headed in the right direction. We are on the right road. But, we ain't there yet.

I was in car and listened to a good but on radio. The first quarter seemed neither had much for defense. Second quarter seemed like it was full of mistakes and injuries, second half was a great contest, especially with yalls injuries.
I was pulling for your team. You were in a hostile place to play a team clearly ready to play. I think it's another nice win for your team. I hope we hold up our end today.
