little tidbit to show the naysayers that cherrypicking stats

is easy.
Roy Williams is currently in his 14th season at UNCheat, and notably, he is exactly 100 games OVER .500 in ACC play (164-64).
Even so, he's only 6-8 at Cameron Indoor Stadium, with 4 of his wins coming in a stretch between 2006 and 2009 that culminated in a National Championship.
Further, he's 2-5 at Cameron in games decided by 6 points or less. 2 wins against 5 losses in so-called "close" games.
Even his National Championship team of 2005 lost at Duke in a close game - by 1 point, 71-70.
So according to the OP, Brownell has now won only 9 of 32 games decided by 6 points or less in the last 3 years. That's a winning % of 28.5%.
Oddly, Roy Williams, who again is 100 games over .500 overall in ACC play, has also only won 28.5% of his games at Cameron Indoor that were decided by 6 points or less.
Given that stat, and the fact that UNCheat lost on a last second 3-pointer to Villanova in last year's Championship game, it's clear that ol' Roy has padded his win totals against the poor and the hungry of the ACC,
and simply cannot coach in the cauldron of a big game on the road....

Brad Brownell ain't coaching in Chapel Hill

with it's National Basketball brand,
it's ability to recruit Mickie D's AA's,
it's Natty banners,
it's All-American banners,
it's home-cookin' because the ACC Commish is a TarHole,
it's ability to graduate players who haven't actually taken classes,
or even it's pro-Homer Nationally-renowned Journalism school...
seriously: you've truly got to be kidding me that you made that statement...

admit he's not getting the job done. Seven years as hc and only one NCAA in his first year and at the bottom of the conference with his most talented team...

I totally concur. I've always thought that especially when he was at Kansas. They ( Kansas) always had a good team and was supposed to win it all but rarely played to their hype.
Good stat. Complete opposite of coach k... still think bb gets the boot at eos. Unless it makes financial sense to keep him another year.

You halfwit - he has more wins at Cameron than Clemson does in its history. This is pointedly stupid.

Krzyzewski is better than Roy Williams
Feb 11, 2017, 9:37 PM

These stats say two things: 1) Krzyzewski is better than Roy Williams. 2) Brownell is the worst coach in the ACC
Williams lost games on the road to the best coach in the league.
Brownell stats apply to home and away and to every other coach in the league.
Wow! Thanks for proving just how bad Brownell is.

Roy Williams has won a lot of games in Chapel Hill. If Brad Brownell had won just ONE game in Chapel Hill, he'd probably get a lifetime extension.
