Hypothetical Situations for fun...

Jul 6, 2016, 2:35 AM

You're a top recruit and have the choice of any ACC school besides Clemson or FSU for whatever reason. Who do you sign with?

Here's another: You're a recruit and an ACC school will be chosen at random for you to attend. You're are allowed to exclude 3 schools from the random drawing. Who do you take off the list?

I'll play

Jul 6, 2016, 2:57 AM

I would goto Miami. And the three I'd exclude would be Syracuse, Wake Forest and Duke.

At this point, I think I would choose Virginia

In the 2nd scenario, I would exclude VT, GT and NCSt.

VaTech is where I'd play

Jul 6, 2016, 3:43 AM

And I'd exclude WF (lame), Syracuse (lamer), and GaTech (not an option--no top recruit is his right mind wants to be cussed out all day looking at PJ's face)

I pick Miami, because of Mark Richt going there I think he's gonna turn it around and make them relevant again
In the second scenario I exclude GT, Syracuse, and BC

this is fun

Jul 6, 2016, 6:36 AM

Go to Ga. Tech
Rule out Pitt-Syracuse and Virginia

I'm going with Louisville.

Ruling out Syracuse, GA Tech, and Wake.

Jul 6, 2016, 6:51 AM

well...since heading for the show is not a primary concern for this hypothetical situation, I'd pick (in descending order):

Duke
UVa
(tie) Boston College/Miami

for the education and the diploma---all pretty valuable. Durham sux, but a degree from Duke is a ticket to a six figure salary relatively quickly. All still have a bit of a "smaller college" atmosphere with outstanding educational opportunities....probably be fun going to school in Charlottesville and Boston. I don't think I need to explain Miami.

If I was a TOP recruit--probably chose Miami

3 schools to exclude--Syracuse, Pitt, GaTech

I'll play at VT, thank you very much. I think Fuente is gonna have them playing at a high level sooner than later, and the fanbase is solid - probably 3rd best in the ACC.

Scratch Wake, Cuse, and BC.

Obviously, you were a neglected orphan who is a psych major, and not to worry about a position, you'll never make any team.

Sorry I'm new here and I'm very late getting back to my reply, but I would have to go with Virginia Tech. Miami is a close second, but I want a more authentic college football atmosphere and experience.

For the three I would remove, Wake and BC take the cake as far as I'm concerned. No explanation needed there. Although Duke has a more competitive program and more stability in it's staff than the likes of teams like Virginia or Syracuse, I would have to make the Blue Devils my 3rd team to remove. They're the 3rd biggest CFB program within 25 miles, it's a basketball school, and the gameday atmosphere just isn't on par with even some of the lower tier ACC teams.

I'm taking my talents to......

Miami (pulls hat out) with NCSU a close second. (Brushes aside)

I'd like to thank the other schools except: Syracuse, BC, and the last irrelevant ACC school.....UNC (don't have enough bow ties)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm picking...

Jul 6, 2016, 10:18 PM

1) VT
2) UVA

Or maybe vice-versa...I'm not sure.

Excluding Louisville, Syracuse and UNC.

Bronco Mendenhall's teams are always solid and tough-nosed.

South Beach is fun but not too much on all the Miami heat or Richt's track record of underachieving.

Exclude: UNCheat, see reason #1 to attend UVA and I hate that baby blue, WF, just not enough support all around, GT, since is still there, however, should PJ be removed from GT I'd say Syracuse at #3, nothing appeals to me about 'Cuse's program.

Side note:. Pitt's campus is on 145 acres. Wow, I never realized how small of a campus they have until doing a little research to answer this hypothetical scenario.
