Statistically, no one really comes close to them in team metrics. But yet we gave them a heckuva game, and so did Stanford. FSU, statistically, doesn't compare either, but stats don't play the game. FSU has a lot of heart, talent, and experience, and I think they'll give them a great series. Hope so, anyway!

2 teams scored 4 runs on them this year. Baylor, who beat them, and fsu who lost to them. 60 games and we scored the most runs on them at 7.
Osu team gained a lot of respect for us. Should help us in recruiting.

Only one other team took OU to extra innings this year, and that was Liberty in game 2 of the season, a 1-0 win for OU in 8 innings.
Other than the 7 we scored on them, the next highest they allowed was only 4, and that was three times, once to Washington, once to FSU, and once to Baylor in a 3-4 loss.
I think it's safe to say that we gave them one3 of the toughest game that they've had this year. Very proud of how well our girls played them and still bummed that we couldn't finish it. Nothing to be ashamed of, for sure, but oh so close!

The craziest stat I heard was during our Super Regional. Cagle got them to go 3up and 3down. 1 K, and 2 ground outs. Announcer said it was only the 4th time all year they went 3up 3down in an inning. Thats insane! She then said they only had one inning at bat where they had 3 Ks in a row.

You take away the "cupcake" teams we played and some of those stats go down. FIU, GA. STATE, KANSAS CITY, FURMAN, GARDNER WEBB, MERCER, BRYANT, JACKSONVILLE, OHIO STATE. We have got to start playing tougher non conference teams to get up there with the best. True we gave Oklahoma a run for their money. But if we strengthen our schedule and continue to win, we don't get seeded 16th based on strength of schedule.

I cannot fault your reasoning but i don’t have time or intent to investigate the OU schedule for weak teams. I suspect a medium may be present and OU did some skating as well

In the sports world of domination, I am not too sure they aren't the most dominant of them all.
There has been some crazy good teams, but some of the stats support the notion that they are about as good as it gets in their respective sport.
And, our Tigers took them to the brink. Says a lot for Clemson softball
