North Carolina Highway 208 is a 9.1 mile two-lane mountain highway through the Bald Mountains as a route from Asheville to Greeneville, Tennessee. NC 208 starts in the community of Hurricane and heads north to the state line where it becomes Tennessee SR 70. The entire highway is in the Pisgah National Forest and the Appalachian Trail crosses the highway just beyond the state line.

Lake Keowee is a man-made lake built in the early 70s to cool the reactors of Duke Energy's Oconee Nuclear Station as well as create backup power and control the levels of Lake Jocassee about 300 feet in sea level above and Lake Hartwell about 200 feet below. It was formed by damming the Little and Keowee Rivers. The lake covered old Fort Prince George and the Cherokee tribe's old Keowee Town on opposite sides of the Keowee River. The Duke Energy prez held a press conference at Clemson U. in 1965 to announce what was called the Keowee-Toxaway Project at a cost of about $700 million. The clean, clear lake is a popular recreation destination and the demand for it's real estate is high.

- Was also a core special teamer throughout his time at Clemson
- Exited as one of only six tight ends in Clemson history to record double-digit career touchdown receptions, as his 12 touchdown catches tied John McMakin (12 from 1969-71), Dwayne Allen (12 from 2009-11) and Brandon Ford (12 from 2009-12) for the second-most career touchdown receptions by a tight end in Clemson history

2019:
- Recorded five catches for 53 yards in 256 snaps over 15 games (one start)
- Made collegiate debut vs. Georgia Tech
- Gained 10 yards on his first career reception at Syracuse

- Also added three special teams tackles

2022:
- Voted by his teammates as a permanent team captain
- Third-team All-ACC selection
- Second-team All-ACC by College Football Network
- Third-team All-ACC selection by Phil Steele and Pro Football Focus
- One half (along with Jake Briningstool) of the first tight end duo in Clemson history to each record four touchdown receptions in a single season

208 AD was a Leaping Year starting on a Friday.

As any Gladiator could tell you, when they were not busy fighting lions in the arena, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Aurelius and Geta. These were two brothers, with the much more grandiose full names of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus and Publius Septimius Geta Caesar. No wonder they shortened them up.

208 years ago, it was the year 1816. Happenings from that time:

March 16 – U.S. Secretary of State James Monroe is nominated by a caucus of Democratic-Republican Party members of Congress, to be its party's representative in the U.S. presidential election; Monroe receives 65 votes, and Secretary of War William H. Crawford receives 54 votes.

March 22 – The United States signs a treaty with the Cherokee Nation, acknowledging that it will return land in Alabama and Georgia that had been illegally ceded to the U.S. in 1814 by the Creek Nation; General Andrew Jackson refuses to honor the treaty, and uses the controversy as a justification for removing Indians from the southeastern United States.

March 30–April 11 – In Philadelphia, the African Methodist Episcopal Church is established by Richard Allen and other African-American Methodists, the first such denomination in the U.S. completely independent of White churches.

July – Lord Byron, Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, Percy Bysshe Shelley and John Polidori, gathered at the Villa Diodati by Lake Geneva in a rainy Switzerland, tell each other tales. This gives rise to two classic Gothic narratives: Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, and Polidori's The Vampyre.

September 3 – Pope Pius VII sends a directive to Stanisław Bohusz Siestrzeńcewicz, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Mohilev, advising Siestrzeńcewicz not to continue the Russian Bible Society's plans to circulate the Scriptures written in the Russian language, commenting that "if the Sacred Scriptures were allowed in the vulgar tongue, more detriment than benefit would arise.

October 25–November 6 – 1816 United States presidential election: James Monroe defeats Rufus King. Thank Goodness, can you imagine the uproar if we had to address someone as President King?

December 11 – Indiana is admitted as the 19th U.S. state.

Several of the nuggets above show that history is not always good or pretty, it just is history.
