What he’s saying true on all accounts, but he’s certainly not the one to cast the first stone. They have a new organization called the “grove collective” that was stood up with the explicit goal of routing NIL money from boosters to recruits. So, Lane isn’t mad that players are getting paid, he’s just mad that they can’t afford to pay em as much as the other schools in his conference.

Actually some good comments and tweets in the thread. A few posting the same thing that when Dabo says it, he gets crucified. Some said the only reason Lane said anything is because he can't recruit for ole miss.

They didn’t really “let it happen”, they were just powerless to stop it. They are a toothless dog. This is what things look like when fans/society chooses lawlessness over order and the powers that be play along.

Yes this whole deal is heartbreaking. I love college football and dang it’s heading south quick. I would be embarrassed if I was Texas A &M. I know everybody says they are doing nothing wrong. Have you seen their recruiting class and we are going with its legal? Jimbo is going to have a lot of pressure on his butt real soon. Boosters are going to demand a national championship and soon with those kinds of paydays.

Yep, Kiffen speaks the truth but the NCAA only listens to a select conference and coaches from other notable schools.
