Well, they're illegal in SC per gubnah Leghorn.

In schools too. Nice. Excuse me, illegal to require them. We hit 1500 new cases in SC over the weekend. 30% of those new cases are under 20yo in my county (per last two weeks of data). Good thing school starts in 2 weeks and they can't require masks.
At least they stopped showing the age of deaths. Right on cue. Average person getting covid is now 33yo, down more than a decade from January.

What is your point on the age of people getting covid?

I mean...80% of people over 65 are fully vaccinated and 90% of people over 65 have at least one shot...which to me indicates that many Americans that are most at risk reacted rationally and got the vaccine. Wouldn't that lead to a trend in the lower average age for people getting Covid?

My point is kids get the delta variant much easier

spread it much easier, and get sicker with it than what came in January. I'm saying when 20%, 30% or more of kids are out of school sick, well, the school can't really run very well.
Considering what has happened at summer camps this past month, well, schools will sure be interesting.
I said there will be masks in schools back when gubnah Leghorn banned requiring them. I will stand by that prediction.

Okay but...

"The average age of people with positive Covid tests has dropped ten years to 33" is not the same as saying "More school-aged kids are getting Covid." "Number of positive Covid patients under age 18" would be a pretty easy statistic to find to more directly confirm your theory. As I said, other factors...such as a very high vaccination rate for older Americans, would contribute to a lowering of the average age for Covid patients just as easily as school-aged kids being more susceptible to the Delta variant.

Here you go...

https://www.mayoclinic.org/coronavirus-covid-19/vaccine-tracker
According to this graph, the percentage of fully vaccinated people by age...
75+ 77.6% 65-74 81.5% 50-64 66.9% 40-49 57.3% 25-39 48.2% 18-24 43.1% < 18 11.0%
Again, it stands to reason that the average age of Covid patients would skew lower as older people would be disproportionately more protected.
This statistic, by the way, feeds into my "This is Biden's Fault" hypothesis. Young Woke Americans aren't getting vaccinated? Young people overwhelmingly chose Biden...why can't he get them to get vaccinated?

We should probably close the restaurants too, if for no other reason to re-examine and possibly steer the communal dining experience into something less artifical and more community-oriented. There is something about eating in or near a strip mall that tells me we got it all wrong.

You have obviously never traveled. Eating with Stangers is pretty normal everywhere, well, except here. maybe we would get along better if we did the same.
