Great news for you Bourbon lovers.........

Bourbon lovers rarely drink Jim Beam.

Sep 14, 2022, 1:42 PM

Beam is for those that tolerate Bourbon and enjoy the effect.

I dont drink much anymore but if I could afford it I would usually go a shelf or two up above JB. Usually would get Woodford Reserve, Buff Trace or Makers.

Seems Beam is trying to appeal to things other than good tasting Bourbon. I'm not sure selling environmentalism is the best strategy.

Beam does a pretty good job on Booker's and Knob Creek.

You'd be suprised at how many "bottom shelf" bourbons beat top shelfs on blind taste tests. I especially love the "bourbon" experts that order Buffalo Trace or Makers in a mixed drink. If you're mixing just go with Jack or Jim. You won't tell the difference. If I'm drinking quantity its hard to beat Wild Turkey American Honey and Coke. 50/50 over crushed ice is one of the best drinks out there. Tailgate and in game go to right there. I'll have mini's in my boot this Saturday in the Valley.

If I ever have another son, I’m going to name him Basil Hayden (a bourbon product of the same name from the Beam distillery).

This is a great example of how technology and innovation will help reduce greenhouse gases - not by government regulations.

Devils cut has a nice rich flavor for everyday. I like inexpensive Broken Barrel aged with cabernet staves... only 30 bucks a bottle but hard to find.
