I guess if the rest of it doesn't support your end of the world/program feelings you should stick to that mistake.

you + all = "y'all" due to the entire word of "all" being included and only a part of "you" being included.
Just bein nit-picky, here! Don't mind me

Looks like the 19 year old was modeling the behavior of his head coach. I recall last week Bowden mouthing off about working in a place where 7 wins gets you fired as opposed to working for a place where 7 wins gets you a half mil raise. Davis isn't only one who needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut when media is around. We can give the kid a break. The Spin Doctor knows better.

Ummm . . .

Regarding the 7 win thing, Bowden was basically taking a rather humerous shot at South Carolina. He was, unequivocally, NOT complaining about high expectations at Clemson. On the contrary, he went to great lengths to say it is a GOOD thing that expectations are so high at Clemson.
Say what you want regarding his PR style, I don't think you'll find many people who think Bowden was complaining about high expectations.
And yes I agree that we can give James a pass on this, especially since: (a) he's an extremely hard working, competitive guy who let his well-earned frustration (over tough losses after an extremely promising early part of the season) get the better of him (if we can all spout off eternally here on T-Net, a player can be forgiven for one or two little frustration-infused comments) (b) he very quickly put things back into perspective after talking it through with the coaches.
I hope, as others have mentioned, that this thing can wind up bringing our guys back together with renewed focus, energy, and pride.

OK I'll concede the motive for the comment to be a shot at South Carolina. However, in the context of the article in which Bowden was asked about thoughts on not getting a contract extension, the comments could very easily be perceived as backhanded toward athletics administration. Furthermore, any shot taken at South Carolina in the wake of a loss leaves a wide path for interpretation, particularly in light of the general feeling that we were significantly out-coached as well as out-played. The high road seemed a better alternative.

accept a 75% winning percentage. Check it out because some of my heroes (Howard and Ford) were no better than that. Remember two of our best lost to the coots...the Sugar Bowl team and the team that beat Penn State in the Citrus. Let's get a bowl win and move on to next year!
