If we make it to the tournament? NOBODY on this board thinks we have a legitimate shot to win it all - shouldn't that be the standard? Who cares if we "make it" into a tournament without any chance of actually winning it.

The reason baseball and football seasons are more exciting is that there is some historical evidence to suggest that a national title is conceivable.

We are all getting worked up in hopes that we get invited to a tournament we will certainly lose. It's hilarious.

But think about what you're saying.

If Clemson loses in the super regional we are all incredibly hurt.

If Clemson loses a playoff game or finishes outside the top 10 in football we are all incredibly disappointed.

But being one of the best 64 teams in the nation is considered a great year in basketball. That is absolute insanity and a reflection of our coaching staff and administrative support.

I get it and respect your opinion. I just don’t think we need to win it all to be a winner. Maybe that is a loser mentality but to me it’s a step by step thing.

Thanks for your understanding. I am admittedly frustrated and airing my grievances...but #### man. So frustrating to be a tiger basketball fan.

We have just got stick together and weather the storm haha.

Going to the sweet 16 or elite 8 if definitely not =

No. I want to achieve something solid like the Elite 8. That's an accomplishment.

We have minimal chance to win any tournament game, it’s history so get used to it as it repeats itself….especially when things stay the same if you know what I mean

Insanity is making no changes (i.e., keeping the Big Brown L (loss)) while expecting a better outcome.

Plz explain this to NEFF.

The Big Brown L (loss) pulled another unexpected loss out. Terrible coaching.

Alabama doesn't seem to be in that position, but we beat them.

Heck, even South Carolina has a conceivable opportunity to win it all. And we beat them too. Same with UNC.

Our program should absolutely be taking the approach of title or bust. That's the only way you actually can win a title.

I don't think they have a legitimate shot to win ONE game.
And it's a good bet Tigers lose their first game in ACCT.

If as you say winning it all is the standard, and if putting themselevs in a position to win it all requires making the tournament, then yes, making the tournament matters.

Therefore, Id suggest that getting the team in position to win it all is actually the standard. From there anything can and will
happen.

Getting us in position to win it all would require

Us winning games like tonight to position us as a better seed. That's what good teams do. Handle business against outmatched opponents and IMPROVE down the stretch going into the tournament.

Not stumbling into the tournament as a 7-10 seed.

I will reserve judgment until after these next two games...for some reason, despite it being 14 years of the same song and dance.
