... on this board who recommended Petit Jean State Park to me. We are there and loving it. Views are beautiful. Hikes are great. Thanks so much.

In a town pretty close to you. Definitely a nice time to be here too the waterfall is probably pretty full. It gets pretty small when it dries out a bit but have had a very wet Spring thus far. Enjoy. Mathers lodge has pretty decent food too. There is a decent little coffee shop up there. Glad you are lovingit.

For clarification Mathers lodge has good food. The coffee shop is not part of Mathers lodge but is a neat place.

1-1.5 hrs away??? Would be a lot closer as the crow flies. Wife and I went there for anniversary and it was really nice too. Petit Jean would be my choice of the two if you only did one. I didn’t grow up here so don’t know the ranges. Could google but breaking from cutting grass so not going to right now. My guess is ouachitas but not sure.
