You'll recall that TRDJ got a new roof and the Hondurans tore the dish off, resulting in TRDJ changing to Charter because apparently mi casa es so grande that no one on planetfuckingearth will get up there to put a new dish on.

Change to charter complete.

How did the sign up go you ask? SwimminTigerly. Easy to buy, getting a few more channels AND allegedly faster innernets for $153 (tv, land line, innernet). Was paying $167 for all that combined with AT&direcTv. No contract, no install fee...just pay the first month $153 up front. Done.

What about install? Appt made same day (THUMBS UP), and Kimbo Slice shows up at the appointed time. He installs it. Fine. He also left I shat you not a mess 5x that of what was left behind by the roofers. Unreal. Still finding stuff strewn about my yard.

Service? Meh. TV. It works.

So I get a bill today. WHAT? WHY AM I GETTING A BILL? Whew! It's only for $17. WAIT WUT? I already paid the first month. Why dafugg am I getting a bill for $17? Closer examination reveals the $17 is for "taxes and other charges".

OH. MY. ALLAH. ALL OF THESE COMPANIES ARE THE SAME. LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. INSTEAD OF SAVING MONEY I'M PAYING MORE??????????????????????????????????????

Calling Charter now. Will be sure to report back.

TL;DR Not much about the world has worked well since DJT was elected.

spoke with supervisor. Supervisor tells him to tell me to look at the confirmation email that was sent AFTER I SIGNED UP AND PAID and if the monthly bill is different than what's being charged they will fix it.

I BLOW NOAH UP AND TELL HIM BEWLSHIT IT'S STILL NOT THE PRICE WE AGREED UPON NOR THE ONE THEY ASK FOR ME TO PAY VIA PHONE AND THAT THEIR STUPID AFTER THE FACT EMAIL CHANGES NOTHING.

Now I ask to speak with the supervisor. He tells me he can't get me on with that one but he'll track down another one.

24:30 in, zero resolution, back on hold.

for this month but says he cannot do so going forward. Goes on to ask me to agree with the fact that taxes are valid charges. I ask why it wasn't presented up front and he tells me OUR SALESPEOPLE CAN'T CALCULATE IT.

I ask if he's hiring 11 year old girls because I have one that can calculate taxes. Then I go on to tell him the express reason for not disclosing the extra fees is deception. He says I'm sorry you feel that way sir.

I say gimme the $17, ghana cancel after this month. He says KAY and we both hang up.

They cut the cord on my roof mounted DirecTV dish and put it on my deck while put the new roof on. Then, tell me they can't put it back on the roof, cause they can't aim it at the satellite. Beegshot calls DirecTV to have them come put it back on the roof. Fugger tells me it's against company policy to get off the ladder onto the roof. Beegshot reminds fugger that DirecTV put it up there in the first place! Fugger leaves after telling Beegshot to call an independent contractor to do install. Well, it took two hours, but I found one. Costs me $75 to have it installed back on the roof.

Beegshot calls DirecTV and asks for $75 credit on Bill. Front line chica says "no can do". Beegshot asks to be connected to cancellation department. Cancellation dept gets on the phone and asks what they can do for me. Well, pay for the independent contractor who put the dish back on the roof. Cancellation dept says okay.

Already have all available equipment upgrades, so no more bling for Beegshot.

Feels good man! But, cost me 4 hours of my life!

TL; DR - make big companies squirm to keep your business. Never accept answers from front line customer service.
