Stillwater, Okla. – Clemson women’s golf finished the 54-hole NCAA Regional on Wednesday, coming in seventh place. The Tigers finished at +37 on the three-day event.“We just couldn’t quite get anything going today,” said Clemson coach Kelley Hester. “We got off to a tough start and never recovered.”Savannah Grewal finished as the top Tiger individual, tied for 10th at +3 (75). Grewal earned a spot in a four-way playoff for the second individual qualifying spot and became the third Clemson golfer to record a top 10 at an NCAA regional. Lauren Stephenson finished fifth in 2016, while Alice Hewson was eighth in 2017.“Savannah rallied late finishing birdie, eagle to make the four-way playoff for second individual spot,” said Hester. “There were four birdies the first time they played 18, but the winner eagled the second time while Savannah made par.”Melena Barrientos finished tied for 19th at +7, while Callista Rice, in her final collegiate tournament, finished tied for 24th and +9. Katherine Schuster finished her two rounds at +17, while Annabelle Pancake finished at +18.Baylor, Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Auburn advanced out of the Stillwater Regional, while Furman’s Anna Morgan and Michigan State’s Leila Raines earned the two individual qualifiers.
