Disappointing. Although I did worry come year 4 if he would be worth 20 million a year . However the time to win is now for the braves so they needed to lock him up. Basically, the braves now have to make a trade which means losing some young pitchers.

They may give Austin Riley a shot to win the job

He wasn't gonna take less than 4 years and the Braves made the right move, he will not be worth it for 4 years. He rebounded well last year and was a pivotal part of the team, but e has a history of breaking down and that is to much to have tied up. Riley gets a shot at 3rd or they sign someone else at a reasonable salary. But 92/4 is crazy.
