It makes absolutely NO sense for us to do so other than to please those who are still living in the past.
This has already been posted but I’ll provide the link again. Once you watch this, it will make way more sense as to what’s going on…and why. I’m not saying it’s good or bad…just that it is.

a particular schools fan base anymore. Those don’t pay the bills…
Genetics 56 lays out all the analytics as to the “Why” behind the moves we are seeing. Since the networks now are running College Football, it’s my opinion they are now working together in order to create the most equitable division of programs. This is why I don’t think Clemson will be going to the SEC under any circumstances…nor will FSU. Especially now that the two biggest programs in Texas and OU are in the SEC

I wouldn't be so sure of that. If you look at it purely through so-called TV metrics, perhaps a move to the B1G is more compelling from a purely financial point of view.
But a strong case can be made as to why a move to the SEC makes sense for Clemson. Clemson---not broadcast networks.

I think the Big 10 would go hard after some ACC teams to break the SEC’s geographic monopoly on the Southeast. Not sure if the top priorities would skew most to academics or athletics, but I think they would want to plant a flag. This fact alone would make the primary targets attractive to the SEC as a defense mechanism.
But it is all moot as long as we are indentured servants to ESPN.
