And three weeks ago he was almost tied with Seth beer for second on the team in RBIs. Everybody else is catching him he is not doing anything NOW. Literally nothing!!!!
The baseball team right now is better off with Drew Wharton not in the lineup

measure of success. Somebody else with a higher average and better OBP hitting in that spot might have more RBIs. RBIs are just as indicative of what the guys batting in front of the player are doing as the player himself.

You can’t predict how many balls will be hit towards Wharton in a game but one thing we do know is he will bat at least three times.
Yes you need a good centerfielder and Kier Meredith can do what Wharton does but while getting on base more and hitting for a bettter average

Oh no because beer has dropped balls his whole career but we know he helps us offensively.
Right now Wharton does not help the team in any way. If we did not have a better option defensively then I could understand people sticking up for Wharton by saying hey even though he can’t hit he’s gotta be in because of defense. This simply is not the case we have a better option overall in every aspect of the game. Kier meredith

Do you not remember kier getting moved from center to left? He was not very good in center in the limited time he had out there. He wasn’t very good in left either. He’s also hurt. Did you forget that too? I’m not defending Wharton but we really have no one else to put out there.

Yea he struggled but I mean he was hitting the wall and the one that bounced over him was simply because of the turf. The same thing happened to Beer in that series.
Meredith made mistakes on tough plays that Wharton wouldn’t have even made it too

Wharton has made that same play against the wall at least 5 times this year. He is much better defensively than kier, so far. I’m not sure why you brought up beer, everyone knows he’s terrible in the field.

Hahah yea I guess comparing what kier did to beer isn’t a good thing but I would rather have offense. I don’t think kier will make those mistakes again
