We can lose to Wake but Win the ACC

Oct 23, 2016, 2:49 PM

And UL still will not jump us. Even if they beat their remaining schedule by an avg of 100-0. A non conference champion will not jump a champion. Period.

You have no clue if that's true. The playoff system is only 2 years old, and we still don't know exactly how the committee works. It they feel that Louisville is unequivocally better than we are (if we lost to wake in your scenario), then they absolutely could put Louisville ahead of us. Probably not, but they could, you can't say they wouldn't as a fact like you're trying to do.

Got left out bc a team that lost to Va Tech played a Champ game and they didnt? Same rules apply here.

If you're just talking about the ACC- I think we could lose to anybody and still make it to the Conference Championship game. FSU has two losses and we beat Louisville head-to-head which you'd think would be the first tie-breaker.

Then if we win the Conf. Championship game, it's still hard to see how Louisville jumps to get in the 4 team playoff. I do think they are better than us right now but it will be tough for the committee to pick one-loss Louisville over one-loss conference champ who beat them head-to-head.

That said, it would help if somebody beats Washington and if OSU rebounds and beats Michigan.

I think it's better for Mich to beat OhSt at this point.

Don't give the committe a chance to put both of them in the playoff if we lose a game.
