Just to be clear for anyone else reading this post:
1. That article is a mess. An absolute mess. It’s like a cell-layer-thin surface level analysis of an extremely technical subject like PCR testing, stitched together by random accusatory tweets. Lots of innuendo and accusations about political links, with no substance. It has all the trappings of a suspect source- all the #plandemic #billgates stuff to let you know it’s going to lean heavily into conspiracy.
2. The source is... I mean it’s just awful. I went to their home page to check out some other stories. A front page piece about mRNA viruses being “gene therapy,” which is a common misrepresentation of the technology to scare people into not being vaccinated. An opinion piece about how Joe Biden’s not really a real Catholic because other Democrats do uncatholic things. The site has a clear antivaxxer bent- more evidence that you go there to read conspiracies, not news.
3. Cases are dropping, and not because we’re testing less or the test interpretations have changed. Hospitalizations are dropping. This isn’t just happening in one area, it’s every state, it’s multiple countries. This doesn’t have to be used as ammunition to support or resist a president or political party, it just is. And it’s good news!

And even at these new levels, these PCR tests are garbage. PCR tests have never been used as a way to measure cases ever before in history, and they shouldn't be used now.

The WHO changed the testing criteria because they thought it would produce more accurate results - around the globe - based on the data that they were receiving.
It is as simple as that.

I am getting tested once/week just because it is easy and free here. All negatives so far. I go into work (not many people here anyway, though) and it is good to be able to know that I was negative at some time in the recent past.
It's a PCR test, but is there any other choice?
