It would not be the most bizarre thing to happen in 2020.

Just when someone else looks like they're developing some power, an FSU 2020 style inexplicable loss happens. That being said it dang sure shouldn't happen

Miami should win, but rivalry games are sometimes tricky.

I am going with Miami. Just like the chicken curse that SC has, FSU has the Bowden curse for forcing Bobby Bowden out at FSU. Approximately 2 years before FSU hired Bobby Bowden they were seriously considering dropping football as a sport. Bobby Bowden gave FSU over 30 great years.

Football but I don't believe it is likely that FSU will win. FSU still has an O-line problem as well as a culture/locker room problem. To be sure - FSU will be up for this game because of the rivalry, but odds are greater than 50% that Miami takes this one.

How could FSU be this bad, both teams are in the hotbed of the best recruits but they always lack consistency?
FSU needs a QB really badly but even more so they need an offensive line. Their defensive line is always good but they keep recruiting 4 star OL but they never pan out to that potential.
It’s going to be a rebuild project for Norville, he’s a great coach so I look for them to be competitive soon enough.

As as FSU fan, I say sure there is a chance. But, realistically, I'm thinking it's not a very good chance.
If our offense was better I would think we would have a decent chance. I was not that impressed with the Miami D against UL.
We made a couple of mistakes on D agaisnt GT that are correctable - specifically not setting the edge. If we don't set the edge against Miami better than we did against GT we have no chance. If our defense gets into the habit of staring at the QB, like UL did, we have no chance. We have to have eye discipline and assignment discipline in order to win.
I would like to think our OL will stay healthy and we can run the ball a little bit. But, I'm not at all confident in our offense.
Biggest thing we have going for us is the fact that it is the second game of this staff's regime. Hopefully the kids will improve drastically from the GT debacle.

should win - I mean that is devastating
but you still lost = doesn't look good
your assessment seems very spot on, fsu boosters at work are not very confident in your QB - me either. I bet he is a great practice QB but they should just move on to the next guy and get them reps ....

If they beat them WITHOUT Norvell on the sideline...

Doesn’t FSU have to consider no head coaches on the sideline or inside the stadium for the rest of the year?
I mean, think about what Willie and Mike have done recently while in attendance. Might be good luck for the team to be NOWHERE near the HC during game day.

There is a chance because the winner must be determined on the field.
That said, D'Eriq King is the steady hand that virtually assures Miami will win no matter what.
