All the love and thank you to DJU for all the time he spent here. He has been a perfect image of class and integrity on and off the field. Sure, his performance on the field did not meet up to the mile-high expectations we all had for him, but that is ok. He was an amazing team player and put the university 1st. He had to listen to the haters boo him for two seasons straight, calling for him to transfer, calling for him to be benched, calling for our staff to be fired, and he continued to show up and give 100%.
DJ is the definition of class.
I am sad to see him go, but I know this is what is best for both him and our program. The new rules of the NCAA and the transfer portal, this is his window. He can't stick around until after the bowl then transfer, its just not the way it works any more. Don't blame him, especially all of you people who have been calling for him to be benched and to transfer! It feels like you do not want what is best for him but you want him to suffer and be punished for your own selfish entitlement.
Stop being a toxic fanbase! This is not what Clemson is! We are supposed to be the symbol of class in a world where it is needed most. You don't have to like him, you don't have to root for him in at his next school, but you do need to show some class and represent our fanbase better. There are other recruits out there who read these comments, and I know I would not want to come here if I were them after reading these comments.
To DJ (if you ever do read this) - Thank you for everything you have done, and know that there are fans here that are still pulling for you to accomplish everything you set off to do, on and off the field! May God watch over you and show you the path to greatness. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger!

People/fans do not dislike DJ, they dislike his onfield performance, as they should. His numbers are not even pedestrian. We wish him well, Dabo put him in this position and left him hanging. Also, we don't need some dweeb with 9 days on Tigernet lecturing us.

Agreed....and this isn't to pile on Dabo who has heled DJU tremendously....but I think at times leaving him in the game (part playing usuck when he hurt his hip) wasn't doing DJU any favors.

I can assure you....CLEM is about a good as a fanbase as there is. DJU would be utterly eviscerated at some other SEC schools and OSU. Every school has its share of bad fans...but CLEM ranks right up there at the top when it comes to fanbase and hospitality.
PPL should just wish DJU the best and pull for him in the future. Great kid who had to deal with a bunch of crap over the past year (outside of CLEM)
