Probably one of the best episodes I’ve seen yet. If you hadn’t watched it yet, do it. You won’t be disappointed.

Guy who plays Nacho is likely the best actor in the entire series.

Better than Saul? Odenkirk is an absolute student of the craft, like Cranston. You should hear Bill Burr and some of the other BB cast talk about watching those guys on set--pretty close to awestruck on a daily basis. Nacho is a certified badass actor tho--curious why we haven't seen him in more stuff (or maybe you have).

listening to a lot of David Spade and Dana Carvey's podcast....it's good stuff, and Odenkirk's name comes up a lot from his time as a SNL writer. Didn't realize he was so prolific there----he gave us the character of Matt Foley, motivational speaker, for one.

movie I saw recently with him called "Nobody"

he was a retired gov't agent who was now a dad and family man. Nobody knew his past, even his wife. One night he gets into it with some bad guys on the street, kinda Bronson "Death Wish" like and kills a Russian mobsters brother. Then things get interesting when his former self emerges. Pretty over the top, but entertaining.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7888964/Nobody (2021) - IMDb Nobody: Directed by Ilya Naishuller. With Bob Odenkirk, Aleksey Serebryakov, Connie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd. A docile family man slowly reveals his true character after his house gets burgled by two petty thieves, which, coincidentally, leads him into a bloody war with a Russian crime boss.

So many people are sleeping on this show, even Breaking Bad fans, and they don't know what they're missing.

season was a snoozer, but I guess in retrospect was pretty important for foundation and character development. It's definitely a Vince Gilligan vehicle, where you can see that the writing team put the entire series arc on a storyboard like BB, and filled in the details as they developed each season, unlike a lot of shows that just wing it as they go. And all of it is predicated on the slow transformation of decent people into unrecognizable caricatures...Walter White into Heisenberg, Jimmy McGill into Saul Goodman. Great formula, great translation to screen by the writers and actors.
