He’s a talented guy. He’s made some mistakes but it’s still early in his career
He can make A LOT more throws than KB could.

But he ain’t Trevor Lawrence nor Deshaun Watson. He’s not even close to a generational talent. He looks like a guy that needs a lot of development beautiful, which starts with checking all that attitude and flash. Looks like he’s learned more from Scam Newton than Trevor Lawrence.
When Watson and Trevor were true freshman they came in and instantly you knew they were great.

It’s time to see if Brandon Streeter knows how to do that. Watson and Lawrence were plug and play. DJ is not even close to being a dominant QB, in the ACC or anywhere else. Most disconcerting is that he appears to have actually regressed since last season even with FAR more preseason prep time. Not looking good going forward, not good at all.

I think we are just absorbing that this year ain’t it. A lot of guys came back to contribute and we need DJ to be all we hoped him to be capable of. It’s heartbreaking

then this season is completely hopeless. I know everyone always overrates the backup QB, but TP can hardly complete a forward pass.
Im nowhere close to giving up on DJ. He's, by far, the most talented QB currently on this roster. That might change next year, but right now he's option 1, 2, and 3 if we want any shot of winning anything in 2021.

I totally agree. I’m not ready to give up on him yet either. But right now he’s just not very good.
11-20 for 138 with 1 td and 1 int against SC St, with the benefit of a run game. Those are KB numbers if there ever were any. Just not good, and looks even worse after how bad he was last week.
