Deserves to be in vs. Best chance to win

I am ecstatic to have the opportunity play Alabama again and win the rubber game. I also think they were selected because the committee believed they had the best chance to be competitive. It would have been embarrassing to the committee to put in OSU and have us whip them again. No one thinks we (or UGA or OU) will out right whip Alabama.

On paper it is not fair. They probably didn't deserve it over 2 conference champions and because they had a weak schedule and didn't even have the opportunity to lose last Saturday. But I firmly believe the committee picked the team they thought had the best chance to win against the top 3.

You answered your own question. They didn’t deserve it therefor they shouldn’t be in....

“Best team” is subjective and how many times do we see the experts get it wrong?
