DAEVIN HOBBS - 6'6' 240 DE Class 2023 (4 Star) – Ours to be?I swear to God, I think he just delayed his Aug1 commitment date because of US and Nick Eason/Lemanski Hall. Offered already by Alabama, Auburn, NC, Michigan, and lots of others colleges, but not us yet.
On July 6:
“The Concord NC Star named a Top6 of: Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee earlier this month and has set tentative commitment date of AUGUST 1st.
BUT,
Our DE Coach Lemanski Hall (and certainly Nick Eason too) reached out to him last week, and all a sudden on posts to his TW on July 20:
”…Big decisions take time. I’m postponing my commitment date.”
So:
1. He went to Dabo’s big June 1 Summer Camp => “It was an experience. I like his coaching style a lot from what I had seen at camp. All the coaches really, I like the environment and the energy they give off, so I really enjoyed that.”
2. We haven’t even offered him, YET.
3. If CU offers: “That would be great… It would be cool to get an offer from them.”

CLEMSON INSIDER 7-23-2022:

According to Hobbs, Hall likes his size and, of course, his athletic ability off the edge.
Hobbs said that he spoke with Hall earlier this week. He indicated that the conversation was solely focused on catching up since the last time he was down at Clemson. They were just talking about where things stand with Hobbs and his recruitment, as they focus on building a relationship at this juncture in time.
What would it mean for Hobbs and his recruitment to earn an offer from a school like Clemson?
“That would be great,” Daevin said back in May. “I’ve always watched them on TV on Saturdays. It would be cool to get an offer from them. They’re close, they’re not too far from here.”
