Ford recruited entirely locally in NC, SC & Ga with guys who really loved Clemson...while Dabo does it a lot in Ga & Fl with guys who want to play at Clemson due to some body whom they liked or followed. Either way, Clemson is going towards the successful season & big game we desire...the National Championship.

Danny got kids from all over the country and recruited the NE pretty hard as well.

Danny was a heck of a coach. If he had stayed at Clemson, who knows how much he might have accomplished. Dabo is young, a great recruiter, and has some very good assistant coaches. I think overtime, Dabo will make a name for himself. His overall record in the ACC, BSC (whatever it might be called), etc. will be impressive. In a one game head-to-head, Danny would probably take him. I was thinking more about cumulative records, etc.

I have a feeling Usuc's success lately has influenced a lot of rising local seniors in HS to pay closer attention to their program. It won't be long before Clemson starts making more national news with the caliber players they are hauling in and maybe even consistently dominating espn's precious SEC teams starting with Auburn. Local players will be lining up to offer Dabo his service and be apart of something special.

Recruiting is one thing - coaching is another. IMO, I haven't seen a CLEMSON coach match what Ford did - even outside the NC. Ford's teams were TOUGH - they would run over you, intimidate you, and maul your ###. I haven't seen that toughness at CLEMSON since Ford left. No offense since you're speaking about 'recruiting' only. Now - we just need these prize recruits to show the toughness that Ford's recruits had. At that point - I will agree with what you're saying.
That said - I like what Dabo is doing. I am totally impressed with his recruiting, and the future looks great IMO.

strong foundation for Clemson's current recruiting successes. Plus he is the one who saw Dabo's potential and brought him to Clemson.
