Clemson Vs. Wake Forest thoughts

My prediction is that Clemson can have a bad quarter, but can't have a bad half against Wake. They are not Furman or LA Tech or even Ga Tech. If we have a bad half it could get ugly quick. Wake could easily put up lots of points during that stretch where our offense plays like one of the worst offenses in the FBS. The good thing is that it looks like we should be able to score on Wake. If Liberties D-line was able to get pressure on Hartman ten Clemson should be 3 times as rough for their O-line to handle.
Why do the oddsmakers have us as only a 7 point favorite? They must know something.
Wake was one of the only teams we were able to move the ball on at will on last year.

The line smells bad. However, I think it has to do more with public perception and injuries at DB.
We need to have our front four tackle the RB and QB and then there is no slow mesh offense. I have been to the last 6 games at Wake minus the Covid year and our defense absolutely ate their lunch.
I wii be at the game on Saturday and expect more of the same.
I see it being like a 38 to 17 victory for us.

I also hope Wake's D plays cover two against us and we DON'T play cover two against their offense. Sam Hartman will eat us alive if we do. Don't play into their hands.

still seam a little weak against the run…should tell the oline to man up and dominate like last year

I think the run will be there. Whether we actually establish the run and dominate with the run takes more than the OL manning up. The guy(s) calling the plays can make or break it.

Clemson is a great team this year. We have been playing slow championship football all season. Balanced run and pass. Steady points.
It doesn't matter who the opponent is. The Clemson methodology is 4 quarters of intense competition.

If that is our philosophy then we are missing the mark. We havcome close to playing 4 quarters of intense football this year. Each game has had an entire half that was uninspiring

If their qb outplays our qb we need a new qb...Hartman against our defense..and dj against their raunchy defense...if we can't smash them we can't go to the dance..have seen a better dj lately but way down on the acc qb list...Dabo cannot continue to tolerate that level of play...dj must improve!

Go look at the stat line.
Clemson offense is
Passing Yards = 2 * Rushing Yards
That's it. When games don't go to these equation, then the approach changes. So far, Clemson has had no problem maintaining this.
