But, Hofstra is losing to Georgia (a team Clemson swept) by a 20-0 score.
No, I’m not really advocating for Clemson to have been selected.
But what more deserving team was actually left out in order to accommodate Hofstra?

Too much candy coating. The NCAA doesn’t get to run a “free for all” brothel with their cash cow sport and then sell me that they’re sticklers for the rules out of the other side of their face.
The NCAA is run by hypocrites and cowards and deserves to be bulldozed flat.

Hofstra played by the rules and qualified where Clemson did not. Unless they have a championship for the other divisions then the lower tier teams deserve an opportunity to compete. A couple of years ago Coastal proved they belong

Clemson had the whole season to show their worth. It is not Hofstra's fault they didn't.

Clemson did not deserve to be in tourney. However, Clemson's RPI is 34 and Hofstra is 120. I'm trying to figure out what it is that you guys think Hofstra proved???

is to assemble the best teams and to have them compete for the title.
I fully realize that this is *not* the true aim of the NCAA tournaments in any sport.
But, it clearly illustrates why simply adding slots to the field in football will not make for a better CFP.

Yes I am well aware of how it works. So they won their conference? Congratulations. Mauldin High School would have won their conference. My point stands.
