Some Heisman perspective on Braxton VS Tajh (Stats included)

I haven't the foggiest clue why Tajh is knocked down so low for playing in the ACC and against a "weaker schedule" yet Ohio State's schedule has been equally weak. What the heck is going on in the college football world? Ohio State's toughest game was vs 9-2 Nebraska, a game that wasn't won by Braxton no less.
Outside of that, Ohio State has beaten: Mich St (5-6) 17-16...... UNIMPRESSIVE !! Indiana (4-7) by a FG.... UNIMPRESSIVE !! Purdue (5-6) in OT........ UNIMPRESSIVE !! Wiscon (7-4) in OT........ UNIMPRESSIVE !! UAB (3-8) 29-15........... UNIMPRESSIVE !! Cal (3-9) by a TD.......... UNIMPRESSIVE !! Penn St (7-4) 35-23....... NOTHING SPECIAL!! {PSU lost to Virginia & Ohio} Illinois (2-9) 52-22........ BIG DEAL!! That's roughly our average scoring margin for the year. UCF (8-3) 31-16........... BIG DEAL!! UCF has played NOBODY & lost to Tulsa, Missouri (5-6), and went to OT vs Southern Miss (0-11). Miami,OH (4-7) 56-10... BIG DEAL!! Miami, OH ranks 107th in pts/allowed.
So essentially Braxton Miller is 19 points ahead of Tajh b/c of a win against Nebraska, and b/c Ohio State is 11-0 against a patsy schedule that includes 1 game vs top 25 teams.
Salt on the wound, the 63-38 win over Nebraska featured 28 points that had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Braxton. *Ohio State's first TD--- pick 6 (7-0 score) *Ohio State's 2nd TD--- 43 yard punt return to Nebraska's 28. Followed by runs of 17, 8, and 3 for the TD. (non Braxton) *76 yard punt return TD making it 48-31 *sack/fumble on Cornhusker 26. Followed by 4 straight Carlos Hyde runs, including 16 yard TD.
If that's not enough, Braxton was the benefactor of a Nebraska INT on the Cornhusker 20, leading to his only TD pass of the game.
Defense and Special Teams were the biggest reasons for the win. Braxton accounted for only 2 of 9 TDs. Carlos Hyde accounted for 4, and Rod Smith added a 33 yard TD run.
Compare that to Tajh's toughest game vs a #5 ranked FSU defense (if it weren't for our 37 points they'd be ranked higher than 5th) 20/36 and 3 TDs.... and was involved in all of our 37 points.

Oh, and the win over 7-4 Wisconsin, Braxton had 0 TDs and

accounted for ONLY 145 TOTAL yards. A measly 2.1 yards/carry..... and only 5.4 yards per pass attempt.
Only reason Ohio State won is thanks to a 68 yard punt return TD. Otherwise Ohio State loses 14-7.

Check out Braxton's poor performance vs Purdue:

160 TOTAL YARDS, 1 TD, 2 turnovers.... and wasn't on the field during Ohio State's tying drive to send it to OT. It was Kenny Guiton throwing for 49 yards, a TD, and the 2 pt conversion on that 4th qtr drive.... and it was Guiton at QB to win it in OT.
On top of that, Braxton fumbled it over on Ohio State's 37 late in the 3rd quarter with Purdue leading 20-14, and if Buckeyes special teams doesn't block the ensuing FG attempt, Braxton would've cost OhSt the game.
Stat line: passing: 9/20, 113 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT rushing: 12 for 47 yards. 3.9 avg. 1 TD. 1 lost fumble.
That's NOT the performance of a Heisman candidate, not does he deserve credit for this win. So far, that's 3 wins with little thanks to Braxton, 2 of which were NOT Heisman candidate performances. He should be eliminated from the running b/c of these 3 games. This is a mockery is what it is.

I think if your team is on probation, then no one on that team should be considered for anything award at all until the team is off of probation, regardless of what that probation is for, ie., post season ban, reduction of scholarships, etc.
Besides that, His numbers aren't as good as Tajh's....

Braxton's unspectacular performance against UAB (3-8):
Nov 20, 2012, 6:25 PM

*207 total yards. 2 TDs. *21-15 score through 5 minutes of 4th quarter. .....with the first TD drive coming from 41 Hall & Smith rushing yards (including Smith rushing TD). ..... and the 3rd TD drive resulted from a UAB fumble on their own 32.
Overall was a lackluster performance considering the competition.

BRAXTON HAD 3 COSTLY TURNOVERS In 17-16 win vs Mich St

INT & 2 fumbles on MSU's 25, 38, and 32, costing OSU 3 scoring drives. His last TO was in the 4th quarter and led to a MSU FG, making score 17-16.
If MSU doesn't miss the 2nd half 42 yard FG attempt following Braxton's first fumble, then MSU wins the game 19-17, and Braxton would've cost OSU the loss, with his 3 TOs leading to 6 MSU points.
He had 2 good drives, but it was an overall unspectacular, non Heisman worthy performance.
So that's 4 unspectacular performances from ESPN's current 5th ranked Heisman candidate. COMPLTE BS.
