I agree that his arrogance where our fan base is concerned is over the top. Fans want their team to win, and for him to get mad b/c fans don't like or appreciate losing, he can kiss it. He was surly telling me/us to just kiss his A$S if we don't like the way things are going with him as the head man. Just like him saying that he only cared about the fans that believed in the program with it being a bad program, is telling me that he only cares about the fans that don't care if we have a bad program. I'm not sorry Jack that I hate where you have our program. And h&ll no I don't believe in where you are taking it. And I don't give a crap if he cares or not. He has been with Clemson Baseball 21 years, and I have been all Clemson for over 50. And nobody has paid me over $400K a year to be a Clemson Tiger!!!

Geeeee thanks Tigerssss, my second ever POTD. Does this mean we're jello, or is it jelling. But on a sirus note for me personally, its never about the coach or the attitudes that some coaches get with the fans at times. Its about the kids that has chose to play their sport at Clemson, they are #1, the heart and soul of our program. And when a coach and his assistant coaches have failed to do their best for our players, ITS TIME for the HC to let it be known that he is willing and will make the necessary changes that will improve his staff and his players ability. ITS NOT TIME for a HC to act as if nothing is wrong while displaying public annoyance/anger with the majority of the fan base b/c the fan base has voiced their opinions from what we have witnessed on the field in the games we have won and lost. Those kids that chose to play baseball at Clemson, a traditional power house in college baseball. They expected and deserve better than what they've got from the traditional baseball power that they committed to. Right now they have a coach that admitted after 60 plus games, that he didn't know what the problem was. Where was he during preseason practice. Was he at practice during the season while they were being coached by his assistance. Did he go home everyday for a nap and only show up for the games to stress out the players. If Jack wasn't man enough to put the blame on him self and the coaching staff. Then he isn't man enough to coach these kids that chose Clemson. These kids expects our coaching staff to coach them up to be the best players they can be everyday. They expect our coaches to have them ready to compete against the best and have a chance to win every game. We all have saw the continuous fumbling era's of the baseball. We have all saw the poor base running when we were walked, or got lucky and put the bat on the ball. This team has had a boat load of problems through out the whole season. And Jack has admitted he didn't know what the problems were. Well IMHO, D Rad should let Jack know that his time to find and fix the problem has run out. Jack has had the past 3 or 4 seasons to make the necessary changes to fix it, and he left it alone hoping it would fix its self. Bye Jack, we have surly appreciated your time at Clemson, and yes you have had some good years at Clemson. Twenty one years in a long time and thank you, but its time for a change. I will be sorry that a new coach if D Rad does the right thing, he won't be handed a CWS type team that was handed to Jack....

especially counting financial aid. There is no reason that they SHOULDN'T be in the CWS every year when just about everybody can qualify for some sort of scholarship.
What schools like that, and those like UNC that have programs to attract out of state students, render the 11.7 scholarship limit moot.

WE WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO GET A GREAT COACH UNLESS THE ADMINISTRATION GETS OFF THEIR A.. AND KEEP UP WITH THE OTHER TEAMS THAT HAVE PASSED US , LIKE NC,VA,SC,DUKE,ETC.
WE ALSO NEED TO GET A HANDLE ON THE SCHOLARSHIP PROBLEM.I UNDERSTAND THESE OTHER STATES GET AROUND THE 11+ SCHOLARSHIPS BY ENDOWMENTS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS. THAT WAY THEY CAN GET AN OUT OF STATE RECRUIT IN SCHOOL AS IF HE WERE FROM SC.IF THIS IS TRUE, THE BLAME IS ON THE ADMINISTRATION.
I'M NOT SAYING JACK SHOULD BE RETAINED OR LET GO, BUT NO GOOD COACH IS GOING TO COME IF HE HAS TO COACH WITH ONE HAND TIED BEHIND HIS BACK.
HOWEVER, WE EITHER DON'T HAVE GOOD PLAYERS OR WE ARE NOT COACHING THEM UP.........LAST IN THE LEAGUE IN ERRORS.SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE REGARDLESS OF WHO THE COACH IS.
