shipped out of Philly, he would have gotten a REAL chance in FA nad he would be on a team that would play him...As it stands, his mother got him traded to a team that didn't care about playing him, just wanted the asset(Sam and Darryl are good friends) and he'll be lucky to get called back up now. He was in line for a much bigger payday before they buried him on the bench...Thanks Mom

McDaniels has some NBA ready skills (his defense mainly) that can help a young team. The Rockets are not that team and are stifling his development by not playing him. At least he got his $10MM.

of how the current system ruins basketball players with huge potential. No one is going to be able to teach him how to play good ball for 3+ years because basketball players are always moved around and no one cares enough to be in their ear to tell them to stop worrying about tomorrow and do what you need to do to get better today.

They know he can play and will show it in D league. Teams will take notice and as teams need a player they will trade a player they have and move him up or trade him so they can get a great trade or draft pick for him. They have plenty of money and they might just want him to get even better and bring him back up in case of an injury. A guy playing in the D-league is better than him sitting and not playing.
KJ will be fine either way, he's got skills and money coming in,

Thanks, I know the d-league is kind of new and is even newer with as a "farm system" with each team gaining a d-league team a la minor league baseball.
If he's still under contract will he make his 10 million? If so, certainly not the end of the world.

Who was a first round talent, getting plenty of PT in Philly, and then send him down to the D-League?....

Does anybody know what's going on with Rod Hall? He hasn't played in a NIU game since early in the season. He doesn't show up on the NIU participation chart in a NIU 59-13 blowout this weekend so I'm kind of wondering if he's even still there. He had limitations here at Clemson but he always gave great effort and I'm glad he went out with such a great game against FSU. I wonder if Europe is in his future.
