saw a commercial for The Beacon on TV this weekend and it hit me that I've never been there. Don't even have a clue where it is, other than somewhere in Spartanburg.
What famous/semi-famous local eatery or landmark have you NEVER been to?

40 years ago it was the ####, now, not so much.
Would recommend the Sugar & Spice over the Beacon.
Roast beef a plenty all onion rings.

Cuz part of runway sweeping in Mogadishu is keeping the donkeys off the runway. Taint easy so one of their better meals is ### that got hit by a C17.

I use to eat there a lot back when I was at SHS. One Saturday they were having a church league BB tournament at Wofford. We played a couple of games in the morning and then my team went to the Beacon for lunch. Everyone basically had a chili-cheese burger plate-o-plenty. Lets just say we just about ran everyone out of the gym during the two afternoon games. And I don't mean that we played well.

You're about 30 years too late. It was iconic when JC was there and the staff used to yell at you if you didn't grab your food fast enough.
