Baseball coaching question...

Mar 18, 2015, 10:01 AM

If Jack really wanted too (that's a really big if)...could he let Pepicelli go mid season and make somebody else the pitching coach?

This is not a keep Jack post or intended to be...I was just curious if he had the ability to let go of any coaches mid season. Does he have the authority to make any changes to the coaching staff even if it means firing the assistants. Or do we have to wait until the end of the season before anything is done?

I would think he could if he wanted. CU would still owe the contract. I doubt we see anything Midseason. CU usually doesn't do that

He'd still need a pitching coach

and it would be hard to bring one in in midseason. I don't think we have one on staff (including Pep). I'd bet this is the wave we ride until it crashes.

That would be an idiotic move to make.***

actually it wouldn't condsidering he should have been fired after last season. their are plenty of pitching coaches on the market as well as head coaches you just have to know where to look. but jack should have been fired after last season as well and jack is the one who hired Pep so they will go out together whenever that will be. i do not agree with fireing a head coach midseason but letting go of an assistant i would be in favor of.

Changes would be made at the end of the season.***

Re: Does PEP coach our hitting or lack of? I wonder how many

Runs we average per game? I'm throwing out a wild guess.?? 3.9
Anyway...we...at one time would crush the ball. IMO....pitching is and has been good enough.

Could you really not spend 30 seconds to actually look something up? Averaging 5.4 runs/game.

You're welcome.
