Was up in Charlotte for supper last night..........

I pulled in the turn lane on Hwy 51, and a kid who saw my IPTAY sticker pulls up beside me, raises his "Tiger" t-shirt for me to see, and tells me his brother just graduated from CU and he and his girlfriend were entering this fall! He was SO excited, and it made this old f@rt's day! GO TIGERS!

breakfast is the morning meal. lunch is the midday meal. supper is the evening meal.
dinner is whichever of lunch or supper that happens to be the largest, main meal of the day.
clueless yankees think they're so smart, but are actually just exposing their ignorance.

Great to hear. Also, for the "what is supper" poster, it would be a nice day for you to take a ride in your car. Head north. Do not turn around.

When people start lecturing me about dinner/supper, I intentionally refer to their evening meal as "dinner" just to p*ss them off. Especially when it dives into the realm of Southern Exceptionalism.

with me, once made a sarcastic remark after I said, "I'm going to have a drink, then we'll have supper." I replied, "O.K. from now on I'll say that I'm going to enjoy my libation, then we'll partake of our evening repast." Thoroughly confused, he answered, "Nah, just say what you want." What wonders the King's English can wreak....
