It’s amazing that you can attack others when you sir seem to be clueless. For all of Dabo’s tenure, we have recruited both the top and bottom of the rankings with success and failure at both ends. The same system you seem to find fault in has produced one of the greatest runs in the history of CFB beating the goat Saban twice when no one was picking Clemson to win either game. This year is no different than any other year as our coach believes in his system and also believes in the value of developing players. But since it has been a whole year since we have won a conference championship, you think it is a good time to question the process. Perhaps you don’t remember the time when we went 20ish years with no conference championships, or the Ford years when we were constantly in the papers for cheating?

No, but I have this energy after looking at who we're beating out for guys. Coming off an 8-4 season, we don't seem to be blowing the doors off recruiting. Unfortunate because NIL and the port hole have changed the whole landscape.

No doubt about that. Some of our 3 or even 2 star guys will be playing in the NFL.
However, 4/5 star guys have a much higher upside overall. If we wanted this kid so bad why offer last minute?
That’s why many of us feel like he’s just taking a roster spot at the last minute because we have an opening.

The Barnes argument is a tired one and one that isn't comparable. Barnes had offers from Wake, UNC, Purdue, KState, ND, etc. Way better offers than some we're taking right now. We're ruining App State's Christmas

Some of you on here want to blame everything on the portal and also act like we’ve been recruiting at a high level until now. Ever since NIL became legal (summer 2020) we have drastically fallen in recruiting. Our recruiting was elite until that moment in time. We’ve missed on 90% of our elite targets. The few exceptions were Woods, Wesco, and Sammy. After that we’ve missed on every other WR, OL, RB and QB. We are all now hoping everyone one of these lower level recruits turn into Parker and HR. That ain’t realistic.

Considering our success with many of our late cycle additions, which often aren't as highly rated or recruited, one would almost think that our staff spends significant time and energy tracking the development of certain prospects over their senior seasons that hadn't really turned other's heads yet, and are quietly ready to jump in last minute to snag them when the opportunity presents itself. Not every kid grows up the exact same on an age and maturity scale, setting records as underclassman and styling at camps. Happy we have natty winning pros in charge who understand and appreciate the many facets and nuances involved in roster building.

Not doing the best he can. He is doing the best he can at trying to prove himself correct about not having to use transfers or big NIL money to win natty's. Our Tigers will not win another Natty in this new Era. Gladly mark this and if Tigernet is still around if they win one, I'm only 49 and I'm sure I'll be here to take my medicine. We still do not have an Elite QB on tbe roster and did not go All In for a deep threat receiver. 10-2/9-3 is where we are. I personally am ok with it. But some of you on here are gonna blow a gasket when it happens again next season, but us realistic fans are tbe problem!!

We have a very good recruiting classes loaded with 4's and a couple of 5's. We have maybe 3 fallbacks. The rest are studs. Maybe those 3 will be great. Who knows?

collective from, say, App State blows their whole bundle on a couple of players. Now, they for sure couldn't compete for players at every position, but if they concentrated their efforts on a couple of key spots, they could get a couple blue chippers, if money was the prime motivating factor.
Now, those guys would use App State as just a "foot in the door", and transfer out after one or at most two stellar years facing weaker competition. That may even become a blueprint for some.
Do I really believe that? No. But, I wouldn't have believe how screwed up this situation has gotten if you told me three years ago, either. Even Nostrildammdup couldn't predict where this train is headed.
