Went to the Jacksonville game today

And I have to say that’s the worst team I have ever seen in person. Special teams was awful, allowing a kick return, kicking out of bounds, and a terrible punt. The receivers are atrocious, zero seperation, multiple dropped passes a few for critical first downs. The line is less than mediocre. The defense just had complete mental lapses at times and couldn’t get pressure. Trevor missed a couple of throws one that would have been a TD. Robinson is a really good back. It’s shocking they were able to win two games.
Thankfully Meyer is gone, but come year end they need to scrap the entire staff and get someone who can really help Trevor develop as a pro. He has all the tools and I still believe he will be great, his best bet maybe to get out of Jacksonville as soon as his rookie contract ends.

Don’t think we had a kick out of bounds this season, but the rest is Clemson.

We resemble, I mean resent that comment. Spot on with the comparison, at least on the offensive side. If they draft Bama’s OT, get better receivers that can separate and catch the ball and upgrade their D-Line (pass rush) they’ll be much better. A GM, HC and better assistant coaches are needed as well. Jim Caldwell would be my choice as a HC. He actually had a winning record and made the playoffs while at Detroit.

Vince Lombardi could not win with that team. Maybe it was a decent game because they are both dogs.

Whoever the OC is needs to go. Trevor has not been developing well under him. Tony Elliott might be better than him.

Trevor has all the skills, all the measurables and hopefully one day will be a great NFL QB like Brady, Manning. Montana etc. Granted he doesn't have much around him, and not much from the D. But right now he's a decent college QB. That pump fake and dip he does ain't fooling anyone in the pros. His release has gotten a little faster but he still tends to have happy feet.
And here he could wait til routes came open with receivers getting separation but he's not good at all throwing guys open or seeing the play before it develops.
We really could use a better QB coach. I think Streeter can be an A+ OC but our scheme and QB coaching needs an upgrade or the big boys are going to continue to use it against us recruiting.

TL16 is going to have to do like Ramsey did with J'ville, refuse to play if not traded, they will never be a regular playoff team no matter how many early draft picks they get. He will stay hurt all the time and his career will be short.

A stat flashed up during the game...

Houston and Jacksonville were 1 and 2 in terms of the number of 3-and-outs during the season.
I didn't see a count from yesterday...but there were plenty on both sides.
I'm a Jags fan and local, they need to trade that #1 pick for as many picks as they can and get a whole new offensive line and a tight end to go with them.
They just don't hold on to the ball long enough to develop anything...

Unfortunately for him, or any other rookie on a bad team,

rookie contracts run 4 years, with a TEAM option for a 5th year. Trevor's future will already be decided for him by then. In the current NFL, if you haven't made good by Year TWO, the Talking Heads already consider you a bust.
